Why is being consistent so hard? Because most of the time it becomes boring for us.
Starting something new is fun and exciting. I absolutely love starting new things. It’s a challenge to start it but then another challenge to finish it or be consistent. Depending on what it is.
I’ll use working out as an example.
What's the plan? Do you have a plan for today, this week or year? I was reminded of this word from a quote I read that said "Plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark,” from Richard Cushing. Join me every Monday morning live at 7:34am on Facebook and Twitter for an encouraging word to help jump start your week.
Josh Allen is a husband, father of four and Technology Integration Specialist at Lewis Central CSD. In this conversation, we dive into starting and letting go of EdCamp Omaha, finding his why in education, the Cleveland Indians and starting a podcast with his kids. I met Josh through social media several years ago and it's been so much fun to work together and collaborate. I hope you find value in our conversation and it encourages you at work and home.
Connect. A simple word that is so important right now for our country. I encourage you to connect with those who have a different perspective than you to listen and learn. Join me every Monday morning live at 7:34am on Facebook and Twitter for an encouraging word to help jump start your week.
Do you struggle to listen? I know I do and that's the theme this week. I was reminded of this while reading a devotional. They asked the question, "do you listen to God?" I know I spend so much time asking but do I listen. As James says in chapter 1:19 "Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry". Join me every Monday morning live at 7:34am on Facebook and Twitter for an encouraging word to help jump start your week.

Is it time for you to jump? I hope these words encourage you as you start your week. This is from my new Monday morning live show on Facebook and Twitter at 7:34 am!

Blake Burgess is a husband, father of three and business owner in York, Nebraska. In this conversation, he dives into when he fell in love with working in retail, what it's like owning and operating three Ace Hardware stores and what the game of football prepared him for life. I've known Blake since we both moved back to York County in 2010. We both love to learn more about growing our businesses and be a better leader. I hope you find value in our conversation.
Craig Badura is a husband, father of two and an educator in Aurora, Nebraska. In this conversation, he shares what he's learned while guiding students to create social media content for Aurora Public Schools, the stories behind his passion for cooking, why he loves creating content and how the game of golf has shaped his family's life.
We're back! I'm so pumped to bring #734IGLive back during this unique time in our life. We need a community. I thought with everything that is going on now was the perfect time to connect.
During this episode, I had the opportunity to talk with local Ace Hardware owner, Blake Burgess, and how they are adapting as a retail store. One of the ideas was how to bring the in-person shopping experience to a digital-only experience.
Brent Catlett also joined me to share what he's working on and an update on his 'House of J' project.
