  • #734IGLive Episode 6 | 6.8.19

On this episode of #734IGLive I was joined by Clay Reisler up in Wisconsin. We talked about the school year grind, taking a break from always being "on" and live tweeting games. I also got the story out of him on why he's an LA Dodgers fan living in Wisconsin which was fun. It was #StrivAllStar19 Saturday so we chatted about that for a bit. To close out the show we had my good friend Edwin Bonner on for a Happy Birthday Shoutout!

On this episode of #734IGLive I was joined by Lance Smith the Activities Director at Millard West High School in Nebraska. I've known Lance for over three years now and have really enjoyed seeing him become a great content creator. We had a great discussion about student-athlete driven social media and how he got started creating content as an AD. I was also joined by Heather Callihan, Technology Integration Specialist at Northwest High School. Heather came to our Striv Summer workshop so we did a quick recap from the morning. Hope you enjoy this Saturday morning conversation live from my front porch in Henderson. Thanks for listening! Join me on the show by following me on Instagram @taylorsiebert.

  • Creating Meaningful Content for Schools on Social Media | The Teachers' Classroom Podcast
A huge thanks to Matt Weld for having me on his podcast The Teachers' Classroom which explores current issues and topics in education and how they relate to teaching and students. I met Matt back in February at #ICE19 during a session that I did for Class Intercom. This was a fun conversation and a great interview by him. He did a great job editing and producing it as well. Hope you enjoy this conversation and find value. Thanks for listening!

First of all, thanks to Brandon Mowinkel for allowing me to share this conversation and brainstorming session on the podcast. Brandon came to me with an idea for a project he wants to create this upcoming school year and so we discussed what that could look like how he can execute on it during this busy season of life. • Three reasons why I am using Anchor
Thank you to Josh Allen for the question and sending in the voice message! As I reflected on your question I had to think about why I did choose Anchor especially after a bad experience using it a couple years ago. However, their platform has improved so much and it came down to time, distribution and cost for me. I hope this helps and provides value to everyone listening. Let me know your thoughts and send me a tweet @taylorsiebert. Thanks!

  • Answer the phone 📱
On Saturday I got a call from a number I didn’t recognize. To be honest I had just woke up from a nap and about didn’t answer it. With amount of spam we all now get there was good reason I shouldn’t answer. But for some reason I answered and I’m sure glad I did. It was a high school student who had some questions to ask me for his Intro to Entrepreneurship class. I was energized and excited by the conversation. Not only by the questions but the fact that the NBA playoffs and The Masters were on TV. Plus there was Prom that night. But he called me and hopefully got his assignment completed for this week. The future is bright young man. Thanks for calling.
