Part of the recent Hanna Barbera line, this reimagining of Bedrock's famous family depicts the changing society of the paleolithic era- from the angst of the armadillo bowling ball to Fred and Barney's time in the war. It captures existential dilemmas in a surprising fashion for a cartoon comic. Writer Mark Russell and artist Steve Pugh discuss their new interpretation and style and how they got away with something so daring, as well as what Russell has in mind for his new Snaggletooth comic.
