The Scriptures admonish us to lay aside both weight and sin so we can run the race. It is often easy to see the sin we need to stop, but what about the weight -burden, hinderance- that we carry with us- If we are to be ready to run the race we must lay aside our burdens--even the 'good' burdens we carry and focus on Christ.

We need to be more like Enoch, who -1- walked with God, -2- pleased God, and -3- witnessed for God. Only when we daily fellowship with Him, obey him, and have faith in Him, will we truly be able to enjoy Him, fellowship with Him, and serve Him.

What is the chief end of man- This is a vital question for all of us to ponder and ensure we are living correctly. This is very true for those seeking to know the Lord's purpose for their lives. We tend to make life about us -me, myself, - I- neglecting our duty to glorify the Lord- Answer- Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever.

For those who are lost and unsaved won't you try again- The Lord rewards those who diligently seek him. If you have never been satisfied with the your standing before the Lord, try again- Like Abraham, the Widow, and the Neighbor--try again until he answers you- For those who have been saved, don't give up on others--try again.

What I need is to want to need Him more- This should be our hearts cry. While we fill our lives with all the wordily 'needs' and wants we neglect the spiritual need- to the point we fail to even realize our need for Him. Do you diligently seek Him and long for Him as your most essential need-

We are reminded today that Baptism is illustrates the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. And, that baptism follows salvation and to be saved one must experience conviction for their sins, repent of those sins, place their faith in the Lord, and display fruit of a new life.

Many are lonely today- both spiritually and emotionally. Particularly hard hit are men, Generation Z, Millennials and Gen X. It is not good for us to be alone. We should seek out other believers for fellowship and seek the Lord to help when we feel lonely.
