Closing out Acts chapter 2 we see a powerful passage in the early church narrative, capturing the moment of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descends on the apostles and the beginnings of the Christian church unfold. Chad focuses on Peter's bold sermon, the conversion of many, and the formation of a new community of believers. We see the birth of the church and the beginning of a movement that will spread throughout the world, empowered by God’s Spirit and anchored in the teachings of Jesus Christ.

In Acts chapter 2, we witness a powerful and transformative moment when the Holy Spirit comes upon the apostles. This marks the beginning of their mission to boldly proclaim the message of Jesus Christ to the world. As the Holy Spirit empowers them, they speak in different languages, allowing them to communicate the gospel to a diverse crowd in Jerusalem. This pivotal event signifies the birth of the Church and the spreading of God's Kingdom on earth. It’s a beautiful reminder of how the Holy Spirit equips believers to step out in faith and carry out God's work, even in challenging or unfamiliar circumstances.

In our Made for More series, we start to dive deeper into the role of the Holy Spirit, focusing on how the Spirit continues to work in and through us today. Just as the apostles were empowered by the Holy Spirit in Acts, we too are filled with the Spirit to guide, strengthen, and inspire us in our daily lives. This exploration invites us to understand not just the power of the Holy Spirit but also the personal relationship we can cultivate with Him. We’ll look at how the Holy Spirit equips us for mission, helps us grow in our faith, and leads us in truth, making our lives truly "made for more" than we often realize.

We are in the second week of ACTS and Chad explores the first church Prayer meeting and even the first church business meeting. This week we see what the apostles did after Jesus ascended into heaven and how they formed the church. We look at the first step they took into forming the church and that was to pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit. We are challenged to look into our prayer life and we are shown that the church even from the begining did everything in Prayer!

After a winter snow storm last week, we are BACK and ready to take on 2025! We have closed our yearlong series of Quest 52 our journey with Jesus and we now start our new series rolling right into the book of Acts. Acts is a book that is about growing in our faith! As we start this series we want everyone to have the understanding that God has a plan for you and that we were all Made to do More! Join us in 2025!

This week we close out 2024 and Quest 52 and start looking at how we can take the past year and advance God Kingdom. We start in Acts chapter 1 looking at the ascension of Jesus into heaven. We reflect on how we must Seek HIs Kingdom and what we are to do to Advance His Kingdom as well. In 2025 we will be diving into the book of Acts looking at the early church and how we can apply the early church to our lives today.

This Sunday we had a special performance from our kids minsitry telling us the true story of Christmas. Chad reflects on the Christmas season and the involvement of our community to make sure kids in our community have a special Christmas. We also continue our series in Quest 52 and come to the question "What does Jesus expect us to now?" We dive into the great commision and the great commandment of what Jesus is telling us to do until he returns.

Today Chad looks at the single greatest day in human history, examining the evidence to show that Jesus really rose from the dead. We look at how the resurrection transformed the leaders of the church and how the accounts of the resurrection are neither fiction nor fabricated.
