Racism against POC including people of Asian descent has been ingrained in the framework of Western societies for as long as we can remember, but how does a worldwide pandemic divide us even more?
In today's episode we welcome a very special guest, Vicky Zeng, as we explore the uprise in racism and discrimination against Asians in the West, sharing our thoughts on how the media, government and society's responses to COVID-19 perpetuated racism.
We also have a look into the treatment of international students and VISA holders in Australia over the course of 2020 and beyond, reflecting on our government's failure to support the most vulnerable during these dangerous times.

2021 started on a bit of an off note for Mads and Dora ... with the start of a new year came the end of both of our long term relationships.
In today's super honest episode we have an open, unrestricted conversation about the aftermath of our breakups and our best advice for bouncing back stronger then ever, as well as some honest moments where we discuss areas we still struggle with.
On today's bulletin we also react to and comment on Police Minister David Elliot's recent racist & tone deaf remarks in response to BLM posters made by school students... yep, it's as bad as it sounds.
Most of us have found ourselves in that awful situation of being disappointed by someone we weren't even dating! It was supposed to be fun, short term, consequence free ... but we ended up feeling hurt, anxious, attached and disappointed.
In today's podcast, Madi and Isadora break down their top rules when it comes to choosing and maintaining casual relationships so we can keep the fun & avoid the disappointment while emphasising why it's so important to bring boundaries and standards to every relationship, including casual, short term ones.
Stand the f**k UP! We're #overit with stepping back and letting life take control. Instead, today we talk authenticity and taking back our power as strong and accomplished people. Later, Isadora shares her foolproof four-step method for deciding when to give second chances, for friendships, family and relationships - because frankly, we don't have time to waste.
Step into your power and join us for our honest take on taking no shit. Ladies and gentlefolk we are BACK!!! It sure has been a minute but we are so excited to be back from the break and bringing one of our strongest episodes yet - our ultimate guide to red flags...and what to do about them. And We. Are. Sparing. No. Details. Or. Remorse.
Well, the title says it all! Recent discourse & debate across Australia has been sparked by a petition created by Chanel Contos with over 20, 000 + signatures calling for sexual consent education to start earlier and be broader and more inclusive, with inclusion of topics such as sexual coercion, rape culture and LGBTQI+ sexual health. This uprising coincides with recent news from Cheltenham Highschool, where a speech made by the Principal was filmed and quickly went viral. The speech contained a myriad slut shaming and victim blaming comments, telling the girls their 'skimpy' clothing could 'compromise' male teacher employment - yep, it was that bad!
We invite two recently graduated students onto the podcast to see just how much consent education they remember ... and the results are worrying to say the least!
All that and more on today's episode - see you there.
Don't get us STARTED! It's no secret some men feel intimidated by independent women & it's no secret that dating as a creative can be especially tricky ... so how are us independent, creative women supposed to get around the dating world whilst protecting our boundaries and morals?
In part two of our two-week Norah Wells special, we continue our discussion on boundaries and dating as independent women. We reminisce on previous struggles with partners who didn't respect our boundaries and break down each of our 'non-negotiables'.
Norah reminds us how integral knowing and setting your own boundaries is when approaching any kind of relationship. So strap in for our final podcast in the Norah Wells series and head on over to our socials to chat and submit your own stories, we love hearing from you!
How good are you at setting boundaries? And how good are you at sticking to them? In today's episode we are joined by feminist activist, photographer, content creator and overall QUEEN Norah Wells who breaks down the importance of boundaries in relationships.
Our boundaries are the limits and values we require within a relationship to feel safe and thrive. So, why can it be so hard for women these days to assert our boundaries and have them respected?
And it wouldn't be a TBH podcast without a trip down bad date memory lane ... turns out we all have more in common than we once thought! All that and more on today's podcast!
