TBM Backstage

Hosts Jax & Liegh are back for a little pre-season two fun, and a bit of naughty. They are joined by Aaron Niemuth and Laura Trezise to discuss some of the naughtier bits of Shakespeare, and a few others as well. EXPLICIT CONTENT.

**This was originally supposed to be a Valentine's podcast, but then Icepocalypse 2021 happened and derailed us. It's still in February so it totally counts!**

2020 has been an interesting year. TBM has tried a lot of things and learned a lot of things (as we discussed in episode 7). Now that the unending year is ending, we’re shifting our view and plans to the 2021 season. Hosts Jax & Liegh chat with Jared Walls (current board member) and Victoria Kelly (previous board member) about what they'd like to see in 2021 (and totally generate some really rad ideas to boot). There are lots of laughs, lots of great info, and some real geeking out about wish list plays.

Hosts Jax & Liegh chat with long-time company members Samantha Smith and Katrina O'Keefe about how holidays were celebrated in Elizabethan times. There's lots of laughs and great information to boot! Find out just how many of our current traditions hail from ye olden times!   The Baron's Men - http://thebaronsmen.org/season/podcast/

2020 has been a long and difficult year, but it has also been a year for learning new things and adapting. Hosts Jax & Liegh chat with Laura Trezise and Renee Osborn on some of the ways that TBM adapted to keep members active and audiences engaged.

TBM is unique in a lot of ways. One of those ways is a managing board that is hands on with the day-to-day. Liegh sits down with current board members Jacquelyn Lies, Dawn Allee, Renee Osborn, Aaron Niemuth, Monette Mueller, and Lindsay Palinsky to pull back the curtain on the ins, outs, and challenges of this unique setup. If you ever wanted to know what goes on behind the scenes in Oz, this is an episode you cannot miss.

It's All Hallow's Eve Eve Eve, so you know what that means. Time to chat about spooky literature. Hosts Jax & Liegh chat up Robert Deike, Stephanie Crugnola, and Anneliese Friend about all things spooky (off-setting?) about Shakespeare. And come up with some other podcast topics along the way. Just a little something to get you in the mood for Halloween!

Laura Trezise and Aaron Niemuth, creators of "The Tales of Robyn Hoode" and the murder mystery "The Dead of Winter", join Jackie and Liegh to discuss the challenges and wins of writing original plays in Shakespearean style.

Creating interesting characters, no matter how big or small, is always a challenge. In this episode, Jax & Liegh chat with Leanna Holmquist about how she approaches character development and the challenges/cool things that come up.

Jax & Liegh sit down with founding member and current President of the Board Dawn Allee to chat about the origins of the organization, where we are now, and where we're going. If you ever wanted to know how our little band of brothers (and sisters!) got started, this is the episode to listen to!

Hosts Jax and Liegh chat with the directors of the Spring 2021 production of The Tempest by William Shakespeare.
