So I've spent a bit of time away from posting mainly due to being uninspired...I've spent the past month-and a bit-in deep self-reflection...healing insecure attachment wounds and stepping more into self-actualisation.

A process of having everything around me trigger me into a deeper understanding and awareness of Self.

A process of observing myself and my place in the world. Where I have come from, what's been imprinted, and the power I yield to change the narrative.

In this episode, hear my conscious stream of thoughts about what I have been doing and how I've embraced my Leo Sun. How I have moved from being more of a fawner and stepped into being the "Empress".

In a nutshell, History is the study of people, actions, decisions, interactions and behaviours. And is a combination of science, philosophy, theology, anthropology and sociology. BUT WHY STUDY IT?

Recently I have seen many responses to those who have provided historical sources or current evidence to support their opinion. And it's often met with deflection and far-reaching claims.

Often it's met with comments like "Well that's just what they want you to believe."

And

"Well who's controlling the evidence, think about all the evidence that has been destroyed."

And while these are somewhat valid, they lack the crucial tool of being able to back up their opinion. Many often supply regurgitated fragments of other's opinions, without doing their independent research to discover the nuance, the fallacies, the disagreements etc

So what is History? And why is it beneficial to study it?

History is so much more than just knowing dates and 'facts'. We are taught so many different skills that we then apply to view the source material, which extends out into other areas of life.

If we don't know where we come from, how can we know where we're going?

It's a larger investigation into the collective patterns. We do it for ourselves, right? Look back on our childhood and upbringing, past lovers, knowing how to drive and what to do if you want to avoid xyz from happening again (or reducing the possibility).

So by diving into the history of the globe, we can get a broader sense of the influences that are currently affecting you, from religion to the government, from the economy to medicine and technology. All elements that have a direct effect on the social constructs around us...And by viewing the larger picture we can then see what is beginning to emerge.

I speak about how the study of history has personally helped me and how I view and understand the world.

I also discuss how we were taught to approach source material as well as the different TYPES of history and lenses that we can put on to view the material present.

This has been an episode that has been a long time coming.

I sat down once again with the Mischievous Mage, Daniel Erulian Cuming, to discuss his experience and knowledge of demons. We unpack his early approaches to working with the occult, and how growing up curious in a semi-religious household impacted his framework and outlook.

In this episode, I unpack the buzzword/phrase that is the "Sisterhood Wound."

What actually is it?

And is it isolated to JUST the female experience? Or is it just human nature?

What are the underpinning aspects OF these woundings?

There are elements that are true, but is there also harm embedded within it?

What is the harm of blind loyalty that is often accompanied with this wounding? And what if the shoe was on the other foot?

These are some questions that I pose in this episode.

Along with unpacking some of the hypocrisy that I have observed, especially when there are many coaches supposedly "healing" his wound whilst simultaneously STILL playing into it. Or trying to "heal it" but feeding into toxic patterns.

Also once again looking to the areas in which people compare the sisterhood wounding to...or suggest it stems from...

Trigger Warning- there is a discussion of SA and SA accusations mentioned within this podcast...There are so many cases of SA, many of which are real...and many which are untrue...We need to do better...Instead of blind loyalty, we as "sisters" need to call out others that are falsely using these terms for their own egotistical, and often guilt-driven gain. Because if we aren't, we are doing a HUGE disservice to those who are being affected by it...who aren't being listened to...whose court cases are being thrown out due to the mass amounts passed through the system. The accusation holds weight! And it can hold power. So please be mindful when using it.

In this episode, I unpack what intuition means for me

I relay observations I've had with people using this terminology synonymously with subconscious patterns, instincts, judgments, bias', and trauma responses

I believe there haven't been many people unpacking the differences as well as what it is, and how to feel it. And that we all feel our intuition differently based on many different factors including our astrology, human design, clair's etc.

What I've observed is many within the "conscious coaching", cycle mapping, new age, and the spiritual community is people advising others to "listen to their intuition", and "listen to that inner voice" without unpacking where that inner voice is coming from....is it your body giving you signals based on hormone levels?

Like how your intuition doesn't tell you you're hungry, your digestive system does

And then extending this to other areas...is it your intuition or your body receiving signals triggering a past memory or pattern? And then what to do with that! How can you decipher between your intuition, subconscious, instinct, or judgment?

This is a big topic to unpack because there is no real "knowing" what your intuition is....this is just my opinion based on observationsand expereinces, so come along

In this episode of "Tea and Heresy," I discuss the importance of context. Not only in history but also in literature and social media.   In an age where we are surrounded by validation and approval, we often close ourselves off to conflicting ideas/beliefs/and arguments. Therefore, I desire for this episode to inspire you to train holding space for conflicting and polarising views within your nervous system.

In this episode, I use the example of the Star Seed theory, Alistair Crowley, Helena Blavatsky, literature quotes, and personal experiences to highlight HOW things can be taken out of context and distorted to suit agendas which can in turn distort the past (and present).

I also highlight the importance of understanding the time period in which something was written, before cancelling someone. That it is ok to understand that how someone wrote about something in the 1800s is by modern understanding "wrong", and their work still be valid. 

That you have the luxury to disagree and remove a particular thought or teaching from a practice and still practice it. You have the luxury to just read on. Understand that it was written from a different time. Understand that they can't change anything. Understand that you cannot place modern concepts onto the past...and move on. You have the luxury to agree and disagree. You have the luxury to understand motives whilst simultaneously disagreeing with the motives and actions.

Queen, war strategist and adviser to Persian King Xerxes, Artemisia commanded a fleet of 5 ships in the Battle of Salamis in 480 BCE. This battle is where she made a name for herself as one of the Persian army's most fearsome naval commanders.

She is remembered in history by Herodotus for her strategy and bravery during this battle where she fought on "the front line." By alternating her flags between both Greek and Persian to confuse the enemy. Also escaped a hot pursuit by ramming into one of her own ships, which held in it King Damasithymus's (mispronounced in this episode), confusing the Athenians.

One of the very few female figures in history to be remembered solely by what she did rather than who she was married to or who her children were.
