Don’t you just hate the mainstream media news when they quote someone who is an “unnamed source?” Unnamed?! If someone wants to say something he or she should identify himself or herself. Last week we had unnamed sources saying that Trump did “minimal damage to Iran’s nuclear program” when our B-2 bombers dropped this 30,000 pound bombs down the air shafts into the nuclear facilities. My family sells natural gas. When you drill a gas well, before you have the gas come out you run a lot of water into it, then a burst of air. That’s not a massive explosion, but it collapses the shale layers all around for hundreds of yards and releases the gas. What do you think of 30,000 pound bomb would do? I’m just thinking, “no wonder those sources are unnamed!” And my guess is, Trump was right. He blew those nuclear facilities to smithereens!

A Helping Hand by Steve Adams
My friend was diagnosed last year with Stage 3 Multiple Myeloma.  It has been painful watching him, his wife and four young kids navigate the disease.  About a month ago, he received his second stem cell transplant and is recovering in the hospital.  The numbers are tracking well, but we do not expect him home for another three months.
This past weekend and early this week was spent helping the family move and doing some chores around the house that my friend would normally have done.  His wife was so grateful and the kids were a joy to work with as they all helped with projects. I got to teach them lessons like “righty tighty lefty loosy”.
Any cancer is insidious and Multiple Myeloma is one of the worst.  This is not meant to garner sympathy or accolades because this amazing audience would have done the same thing.  To my friend, I am behind you 100% and anticipating the day we can enjoy a cold drink on the tailgate!

Last week I came into my office from the rain and when my wet shoes hit the tile floor, I fell really hard. When old people fall, they do an assessment of their situation before they get up. I looked at the wall beside me and noticed that I put a hole in the wall with my head! I wondered why I wasn’t unconscious. I looked at my wrist and I knew that I had broken it. My wife Joanne said, “George, I’ve seen you cut down big trees, race motorcycles, use dynamite. But the 3 times you’ve been hurt was when you were simply walking!” 
 I think it’s because when you’re doing dangerous stuff, you’re very careful. When walking, it is generally safe. However, falling can be a concern. The National Council on Aging emphasizes that falls are often the starting point for many issues among senior citizens. Please take care.

One of the first Iranians I met was on an airplane on the way to Germany. He said he was going to Iran to try to rescue his family that was going to be killed by the ayatollah. I prayed for him before he got off the airplane and he told me that he would likely be dead within a week. The Ayatollahs have totally destroyed the joy and the productiveness of the Persian people, and they’ve defended their positions of power with guns and soldiers. The Persians people only had flesh to fight back. Now they have a chance to regain their freedom and I sincerely hope they’re going to seize the opportunity to free themselves of the Ayatollahs and rejoin the civilized world. I know that I’ll be one of the first to welcome them back, because the Persian people are good people.

Unless you’ve been hiding in a cave for the last couple of weeks, you’ve seen Israel attacking Iran and Iran attacking right back. The Ayatollahs of Iran said “we have to have a nuclear weapon so we can completely destroy Israel.” And reliable reports show Iran was within a year of those atomic bombs. What was Israel to do?  Sit back and say, “Ok we don’t mind.” But if America gets involved, Iran is asking for China, Russia, and N Korea to get involved. And is America strong enough to defend itself against so much evil and so much power? A military analyst told me last week that if we get into it with China, we have maybe 11 days of ammunition. Mr Biden’s regime decided it was better to have diversity, equity, and inclusion rather than a good fighting force that would defend America.

The left comes up with terms that just stagger the imagination. Almost like the concentration camps in Germany the entrance read “Arbeit machts frei.” “Work makes freedom.: When the people who are about to be killed in the gas chambers instead! The left here uses terms like “gender affirming care.” What a nice word: “Affirming!”  Sort of like the Nazi concentration camps’ “freedom.”  Gender affirming care affirms nothing because the gender hasn’t been changed at all. Sexual organs have been mutilated but the chromosomes, reproductive systems, secondary sex characteristics remain the same at the cellular level. If they find someone who had gender affirming care 100 years from now, they would easily identify their skeleton as masculine or feminine. There’s nothing else, no matter what they do to the person’s body! I don’t know how liberals can accept such evil.

“Lightning Bugs” by Steve Adams

My friend’s son just graduated from kindergarten and saw me doing

yard work. The next thing I heard was this little guy voice asking, “Mr.

Steve, what are you doing?” I had to chuckle under my breath.

I have been showing him how to identify Dogwood, Sassafras and

Hickory trees and, as he wandered over, I took a leaf and asked him

what tree that was from. Questioningly, his reply was, “Dogwood??”

Then, in typical little boy character, he was running off to catch a bug

he saw flying and returned a few minutes later proudly showing me a

lightning bug.

We laughed over catching them and he wondered if he caught a “whole

bunch”, could use them as a night light. Instantly, I was transported

back to my own childhood and fondly remembered spending countless

summer evenings on the farm doing and wondering the same thing.

Sometimes, it is nice to stop the busy schedules and let an aspiring first

grader remind me of the finer and simpler pleasures of life.

That is, “give government benefits at the expense of taxpayers to those who vote for politicians who will do it.” After a while the system is bankrupt!  It’s going on right now! But unlike the novel “1984,” we now have omni-present surveillance, artificial intelligence, digital currency, and ultimately digital identities. So the potential now for social control of our minds and our lives is alarmingly real.
