I know why President Trump wants Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense. It’s because he’s going to make the left and the neo-conservatives behave!  He wants to end useless wars that have little purpose other than to fill the pockets of military contractors with our tax dollars. Trump said Pete is tough, smart, and a true believer in America. With Pete at the helm, America’s enemies are on notice our military will be great again, and America will never back down. Pete Hegseth said, “We’ve got to fire the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, and we’re going to bring you in a new Secretary of Defense. But any general that was involved, and I don’t care – General, Admiral, whatever, that was involved in any of that DEI woke stuff. He's going to have to go.”

Mr Trump is probably going to have a hard time with the confirmation hearings. Not because his picks are bad, but because they’re going to be effective in bringing down the Deep State. For instance, Kash Patel. He’s dangerous because he knows where the bodies are buried. And he’s called for firing the top ranks at the FBI, prosecuting leakers, and replacing the national security workforce with people who won’t undermine the President’s agenda. He’s pledged to investigate members of the DC swamp who used their positions to spy on and persecute law abiding Americans. Patel was upfront about who he’s going to go after, especially the systematic corruption within the FBI. And we can certainly expect Patel to investigate the January 6th hoax. For instance: What were the FBI’s purposes in putting their spies and agents into the January 6th crowd? Who planted the pipe bombs?

When I graduated from college in 1966, I was recruited by the FBI. They wanted college-educated farm boys because we knew how to improvise, and we react well to new situations. I was thoroughly tested and my background was thoroughly vetted. They even talked to kids that went to my elementary school! Not so now. Christopher Wray has concentrated on diversity, equity, inclusion, and they’ve degraded the recruitment standards in all areas. These include physical fitness, illicit drug use, financial irregularities, mental health, full time work experience, and integrity. Ignoring good attributes has posed a threat to the FBI’s ability to protect America from harm. So, who has the FBI gone after? Parents who attend school board meetings, protesters on January the 6th, and Christians who pray outside abortionaries.

It’s becoming abundantly clear that Democrat Party has a huge problem. They and the crooked media are still barking up the wrong tree. They’re finding fault with every Trump idea, and they’re ignoring every political mistake in the last election. They refused to correct or modify their thought process and they hate their former heroes Elon Musk, and the bulk of Trump’s picks for confirmation. In Trump’s cabinet, the hearings will be interesting. Let’s hope Republicans don’t mess up this up! People who know me know that I’m a constitutional Christian conservative, and I usually vote Republican. However, the Republican Party drives me crazy. I’ve never seen any other team that could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory every time.

In California Democrats are now calling Governor Newsom “Governor Gruesome” because of the woke stupid policies which exasperated the wildfires out there. Prime s are Gruesome put the kibosh on 4 dams because they endangered some little fish. Smart! Now the firefighters are out of water to fight the fires. Firefighters who wouldn’t get the jab got fired. Smart! In addition, Democrats previously shipped California firefighting equipment to Ukraine. Smart! And there’s a shortage of firefighters because California had to fund illegals and sanctuary cities. Smart! Los Angeles first female Fire Chief Christine Crowley said that her goal was “diversity, equity, inclusion.” Too bad she didn’t mention “fighting fires, saving property and lives.” I don’t know about you, but heads should roll! Unfortunately they’re going to get medals, promotions, bonuses. That’s the liberal way. And soooo smart!

Most people my age are thinking about when they leave Earth, and they want to leave a legacy behind. A good legacy. I guess mine would be my children and my grandchildren. They all turned out really good. I’m thinking about Biden’s legacy what is he leaving behind. Considering Hunter, forget about the children part. So, his presidency has left us mass inflation, open borders, terrible economy, weak military, runaway national debt, unaffordable housing cultural warfare the disaster in Afghanistan sex affirming surgery for children who don’t know what their sex. I always thought Jimmy Carter was the worst president in history. I guess Biden’s legacy will be beating allowing Jimmy Carter to die in peace, knowing he was not the worst president in history.

Shut down the Dept. of Education!
Over the last five decades the federal government has several departments that are just useless. In fact, they’re destructive. The Department of Energy hasn’t produced one pound of coal or one barrel of oil. The Department of Agriculture has more bureaucrats than America has farmers! But the Department of Education has to be the very worst! Before the Department of Education came along, America had a 97% literacy rate. Now a 79%.  Parents and teachers could decide what’s best for their children, but now bureaucrats decide how children will be indoctrinated to be good obedient servants of the government . The best thing Mr Trump could do isn’t appoint some guy or girl to run the Department of Education. The best thing he could do is just shut it do is SHUT IT DOWN!

The blessing of Constitutional Sheriffs
In my home state of Virginia we’re really blessed to have what’s called Constitutional Sheriffs. They won’t obey anything that’s not constitutional. For instance, during the COVID lockdown you didn’t see any of our sheriff’s arresting people for attending church. After the January 6th protest you didn’t see our Constitutional Sheriff’s illegally picking up people who were protesting at the Capitol. In both cases the Constitutional Sheriff would not violate the People’s Right Free Assembly. Maybe that’s why the Deep State wants to get rid of Constitutional Sheriffs. They want sheriff’s that are appointed and can be fired if they disobey a tyrant’s unconstitutional orders. If you live in a state that has Constitutional Sheriffs you’re blessed too! But you’re going to have to fight to keep them.

The Joy of Family 
Today's guest host is Steve Adams of Lynchburg, Virgnia. In 2019, I had the privilege of traveling to Asia and enjoyed learning more of their Culture.  One aspect that struck me was their value and respect of family elders. Few Asian cultures have what we call “old folk’s homes” because the younger family members typically move the elder members into their home when needed.   

Our Western society likes to think we have the corner on family values and yet we see elder parents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities partly because we are too busy to even call them, much less take care of them.  Granted, there is a point where those care facilities are needed, but generally, we tend to default to their use to save our own busy schedules.  

I am so fortunate to have both of my parents who are now close to 90, but the trip to Asia and the ensuing friendships have reminded me to NOT take family for granted and to value the wisdom and insight these senior family members have.
