 Russell and Esparza are back with a new season of their podcast and this time focusing on more serious topics and issues. For this episode they focus on the N-word, the use of it, and reasons to address it in schools. 

Russell and Esparza are joined by a special guest, Dr. Kim, to share his experiences as a Korean-American in Education. In this episode they continue the conversation around the importance of our racial Identities, our stories, and our ethnic history in the United States. They also discuss how we can connect and learn so much from each other's cultures, histories, and the injustices faced.

Russell and Esparza discuss their experiences with race in the classroom and how being a male teacher of color has played a role in their careers. The conversation revolves around how their racial identities and that of their students are a vital component of the classroom and the impact it has on students. This reflective conversation also details some of the struggles faced such as how our physical appearance & attire as teachers of color is overemphasized and is directly correlated to how students and staff perceive us.
