Even if you're not from Indianapolis, you've probably heard about some of the Catholic schools, the Archdiocese, and decisions being made regarding some long-time staff members who were found to be in same-sex marriages. It's driven us to drink more than normal for the episode this week.

It feels like everyone not in education has their own ideas about what a teacher's life is like during summer break. Annie shares what she does while most of her friends are at work. Mary talks about heading into her first adult summer without summer off now that she's out of teaching.

Had a bunch of fun virtually meeting up with the man behind the Not Your Teacher Podcast. It was a pretty big time difference, and we were using some technology we hadn't used in a recording before (we actually get cut off at the end) but we had a great time.  Head on over and check out his podcast too, as there was plenty that made it in to his recording that isn't in ours.

It seems like everyone who hasn't been a teacher thinks field days are awesome. We know better. And to the gym teacher who always brings out the hose on a hot field day, you'll get yours some day.
