In this first episode, we share our passion for teaching innovation in sport management and the importance of engaging the sport management profession – from students to professors to working professionals – in an ongoing dialogue to enhance student learning. We introduce the work we have been doing as collaborators under the leadership of Dr. Jessica Braunstein-Minkove on a book entitled Innovative Pedagogical Practices in Sport Management. The book features the work of 54 sport management professors reflecting on and writing about teaching innovation in sport management. In upcoming episodes, many of our contributors to the book will be featured throughout our first season of the Teaching Innovations in Sport Management Podcast.
