Developing Phonemic Awareness is crucial to becoming a successful reader. I'll give you activities that you can implement today to quickly assess your students' rhyming ability.

Your students are the only ones nervous about the first day, your parents will also be nervous and chances are you'll feel a little nervous too. Here are some tips to make that first day go smoothly.

The best way to start the year is with routines. I'll share why I think routines are critical to a well-run class and a room that is peaceful. Giving our students predictable and consistent routines will set the stage for success for the rest of the year.
