Evgeny Svechnikov would be the lone goal scorer for the Sharks late in the first, as they weathered 35 shots on goal in the game. The second period would prove to be the Sharks downfall as the Hurricanes funneled 17 shots and Necas would score with 23 seconds left. The third would be the nail in the coffin as the Aho would direct a puck off the skate to the back of the net with less than 2 minutes. The Sharks would play a good defensive opening period bouncing back from last night’s defeat holding the Preds to 7 shots and no goals. At 14:24 of the First Period Luke Kunin would score on the Power Play on a crash play with Lindblom and Ferraro getting the assists. Unfortunately the Predators would score three times in the Second Period to erase the Sharks lead. Captain Couture would score his first of the season in the second but it would prove not enough. In the final frame the Sharks would place 15 shots on net to Nashville’s 3 but could not solve Lankinen for a tying goal.
