The Sharks still without 7 regulars manage to topple the streaking Flames in a defensive affair. A majority of the possession was carried by the Flames which was reflected in the shots on goal all 38 of them. Hill posted a solid .973 save percentage and really kept his team in the game from start to finish. It was good to see Hill make the most out of the start and made a case for a start against Winnipeg. The Couture and Barabanov provided the offense up until an empty netter by Hertl and Dahlan sealed the deal for team teal. Land, Ian and Al all talk about the unexpected victory while making some general observations about the contributions from the young guns.

The Sharks lose a squeaker of a game to the Devils 3-2 in the shootout. The Sharks would score the first goal of the game in the second period with Rudy Balcers picking up some loose trash in the crease. Brent Burns had 2 assists in the night while he and Mario Ferraro logged over 30 mins of ice time respectively.The Power Play chipped in a go ahead goal in the third period with the PK stopping all five Devils chances. Unfortunately the Sharks would give up a late goal in the third on giveaway from Ryan Merkley. Overtime would feature a flurry of shots but no results, with the team falling in the shootout.

With the Sharks still missing key contributors such as Karlsson, Meier and Labanc, the team was able to pot 5 goals tonight in a rousing 5-3 win over the Sabres. Tomas Hertl was dominate tonight, winning 76.9% of his face-offs adding 2 goals and an assist to the score sheet. The Couture line with his two young Swede wingers Dahlen and Eklund also managed to produce a gritty goal that help give the Sharks a quick lead in the first. Ryan Merkley added a nifty first goal of his career and dazzled with his excellent stick work in the offensive zone. Mario Ferraro also showed off a booming shot for his first goal of the season capping of his career high 28:48 mins of ice time in a game. While the stats bore poorly for Reimer tonight he played anything but poorly, making key saves to keep the Sharks in the lead for most of the game.
