What is goin’ on everyone? Leon checkin’ in and today we are covering Android’s Chrome browser by demonstrating how to listen to web pages, which is a great productivity boost!
So here we are in the Chrome Browser on my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4.
Small disclaimer here: you’ll need a web page that supports “Listen To This Webpage” or the feature won’t show in our menu.
Once you find a supported page, we can tap on the three dots in the top right-hand corner of the browser here.
We will then scroll down until we see the option “Listen To This Page”. Again, if the page does not support the feature, it won’t be listed here.
This will bring up a playback bar at the bottom of the page which will load fairly quickly… So let’s try it out!
As you can see, we can pause the article by pressing the pause button.
So far, this feature has been great for situations where reading isn’t favorable such as multitasking and showering; I would also like to try this out while driving.
But let’s talk about other features.
If we tap on the playback bar, it slides higher up, revealing more controls in a card which include a scroll bar with time, playback speed adjustment, if you want to listen to the article faster, rewind, play and forward.
Along with this, we can also customize this experience by tapping on the three dots on the lower right hand corner of this card. Here, we can change the voice as well as enable or disable highlight text and auto scroll.
Auto scroll is a nice feature to enable because, as you can imagine, the text is highlighted and the page is automatically scrolled as the content is read, so you don’t have to touch the device and scroll manually to keep up.
So let’s try out the different voices by tapping on the arrow on the right side of the card.
The list isn’t very long here, but it’s decent, including accents from the United States, United Kingdom, India and Australia.
Overall, I’m really enjoying this feature and find it useful.
Will you be using it? Please let us know in the comments down below!

The goal of this content is to help you get more out of your devices and improve your day-to-day efficiency with technology and I’m hoping to do this by providing information you can’t find anywhere else, because I use products long term that I am actually interested in!
As always, clarity and authenticity are important to the content. That being said, I did purchase this product myself and this means my interest was not influenced by free product or payment, leading to more authentic content.
