July 1st signaled a new age of Louisiana Tech athletics as the Bulldogs and Lady Techsters will now be competing in the Sun Belt Conference. Vice President & Director of Athletics Ryan Ivey provides details on what the Sun Belt’s impact will have on Tech, including the excitement around reigniting geographic rivalries and the added benefits to student-athletes. And while it’s the dawn of a new era, Ivey says the expectations will not change for any of Tech’s 16 sponsored athletic programs. Ivey also discusses the current structure of college athletics, federal legislation, roster construction, facilities and how the Sun Belt’s core values align most with Louisiana Tech.

Our 'Summer Rewind' series continues from the Show Me State. In the regular season finale, the Bulldogs secured their first winning season since 2019 with a 42-30 road victory at Missouri State. Tech gained 388 of their 475 total yards on the ground and scored 5 rushing touchdowns to overcome cold and rainy conditions in Springfield, Missouri.

Down 20 points and ice cold from beyond the arc, Louisiana Tech once again found itself staring at a familiar script against Middle Tennessee. This time, the ending belonged to the Bulldogs. Tech's only made 3-pointer with 4.7 seconds remaining capped a stunning comeback as the Bulldogs erased a massive deficit and stunned the Blue Raiders, 59-58, inside the TAC.

Tech brought the fright to Sam Houston in our latest installment of the 'Summer Rewind' series. Celebrating a 100th Homecoming (and on Halloween), the Gridiron 'Dogs rolled up 646 yards of total offense in a 55-14 thrashing of the Bearkats. On the ground, they piled up 425 rushing yards and six touchdowns in collecting their 5th win of the season. It was the most points scored by the Bulldogs since Sept. 26th, 2020.

Down for most of the game, the Dunkin' Dogs flipped the script in the second half to force overtime and score a 70-68 victory over Delaware in their first-ever visit to Ruston. Freshman Jaylen Fenner tied his career-high with 15 points (all in the second half) while also tying his career-high for made three-pointers with three. He played a career-high 32 minutes.

It's talking season and we're 73 days from Tech football kicking off against Northwestern State at Joe Aillet Stadium. Offensive Coordinator & Quarterbacks Coach Nathan Young highlights what fans can expect on that side of the ball this upcoming year. Young was promoted to OC in February and will have an entire offseason to install a system with new terminology while identifying impact contributors in each position group. Previously, Young tutored the offensive line. But, this isn't his first rodeo as OC. He was elevated as the primary play caller and Co-Offensive Coordinator for the final 8 games of the 2024 season.

The Summer Rewind series continues on a 'Red Out' evening from Joe Aillet Stadium for a rivalry showdown with Southern Miss. The Bulldogs came out fast against the Golden Eagles, scoring all 30 points in the first half in an eventual 30-20 victory.

The first two meetings between Tech & Mo-State were decided by a combined 3 points, both victories for the Dunkin' Dogs, and the first on the road in double-overtime. The semifinal round of the league tournament would not disappoint as these two delivered high drama for a third time in a month. The Bulldogs earned a 69-66 victory in Rocket City to earn a spot in the conference championship game.
