Kayla’s Inspiring Story: Kayla Harrison not only overcame abuse by a coach early in her career, but she also did something no other American had ever been able to accomplish. In 2012, she became the first American to ever win a gold medal in the sport of Judo. Now, as the Rio 2016 Olympic Games get closer, Kayla is looking to repeat that performance! What’s her plan to make that happen? She’ll tell you. Kayla will also spell out how her sponsors make chasing another Gold possible and how one sponsor in particular, Liberty Mutual Insurance, will keep it safe once it is won.
Kayla’s winning ways: She started competing at age six and quickly became one of the best at her sport. Kayla has won gold in at least one competition every year since 2008, including the London 2012 Olympic Games – a feat she is seeking to repeat next month in Rio. And, along the way, her accomplishments and advocacy have landed her on the cover of Sports Illustrated and numerous national talk shows.
