Longtime sports columnist Woody Woodburn returns to the “Tech of Sports” to talk about his book, current events and the state of the sports world. He also is an avid runner.

Rick is back from a trip to Philadelphia this week, where he got an exclusive look at Sprint and what is on the horizon when it comes to 5G. It was a demo held at the Chile vs. Panama Copa America soccer match in Philadelphia. Sprint is a major partner in the Copa America tournament. Sprint has been conducting 5G demonstrations at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, and on June 9, 11, with a final showcase for the preliminary rounds on June 14 at Lincoln Field in Philadelphia. Sprint president and CEO, Marcelo Claure, a big soccer fan, is understandably excited about this opportunity.

Rick is joined this week by noted artist, Lee Wybranski. Lee Wybranski has been a professional artist since 1992. He formed his company in Philadelphia in 1995 (then known as Group W Art Works) as a fine art and graphic design studio and the exclusive publisher and agent for his work. On January 2, 2012, the business opened doors at its new location in Flagstaff, Arizona, and in 2013 the business changed names from Group W Art Works to Lee Wybranski Art & Design (LWAD).

Since establishing the studio, Wybranski has completed numerous commissioned artworks and published editions related to the game of golf, including landscapes, portraits, and event posters. His portfolio includes commissioned artwork for clients ranging from the National Golf Links of America to Polo Ralph Lauren to the Walker Cup.

Her goal to compete on the world stage was achieved in Beijing 2008, where she defied expectations on the Paralympic Swim Team. This summer, she’s ready to take on the Paratriathlon in Rio.

Rudy Garcia-Tolson set his first goal at age eight when he declared he’d go to the 2004 Paralympic Games for swimming. Not only did the double amputee compete, he won gold and has been inspiring people ever since. Now, Rudy wants Americans to help inspire Team USA this summer in Rio.
