This week Rick brings us four current books that cover sports, tech and even motivation that could make great holiday gifts for yourself or others. Sports and tech books are in general, a dime a dozen. Good sports and tech books are hard to find, so Rick and Steve this week take a look at some great reads.

WaitTime provides stadiums and fans real-time wait times for concessions, bathrooms and merchandise stands. The company added three sports and business leaders to its board of directors, including the former president of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and an advisor to the Olympic Committee.

This week we are joined by former Oklahoma Sooner and Baltimore Ravens WR, Mark Clayton. When former first round draft pick and NFL wide receiver Mark Clayton broke his Beats headphones during a pre-game workout, he decided it was time to create something more durable that would stay in place no matter the physical activity and sound amazing. On September 1, Clayton will finally bring his LIVV Headphones to market with a Kickstarter campaign.

Mary Pat Faley was the Southern California 2011 USPTA Tennis Pro of the Year and is an accomplished published author, keynote speaker and tennis entrepreneur. An elite member of the Babolat Advisory Team, Faley has been described as a “Tennis Pro’s Pro”. After publishing, “Winning in Tennis and Life” in 2009 – a blueprint for healthy living on and off the court, Faley went on to produce a series of YouTube videos in 2011 demonstrating the unique, action-packed tennis drills that made her a success on and off the court. In the summer of 2013, she launched her new program, Mary Pat’s Force of Three – designed to help tennis professionals run productive, challenging tennis drills for groups of 4-10 players. The system can also be used by any tennis player at every level. A member of the USPTA for over 25 years, Faley is available to speak at your tennis facility and share her secrets from her successful 33-year tennis career.

Mike Kujansuu joined TechSmith in 2002 and has played a marketing manager role for most of the products in the company’s portfolio through the years. He moved into a dedicated marketing manager role in 2011 when the Coach’s Eye app research and development originally started. Since then Mike has helped rapidly grow Coach’s Eye into a brand that now includes multiple products and services in the sports video market. Mike graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and later went on to receive his MBA from Northwood University. Like any good Spartan he bleeds green throughout and is cautiously optimistic about the upcoming football season.
