Crime of the Week: The most recent of wheel thefts occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday August 6th. These thieves ended up stealing $3,000 worth of wheels and tires off of a hard-working household while they were sleeping. These victims had purchased these wheels and tires just a week prior.

Iberia Parish Council Chairperson Natalie Bernard Broussard and Councilman Mike Landry previewed the council meetings of 8/9/17. The two also discussed a presentation from the Levee District regarding their hope to get a property tax on the November ballot. The council could decide that at the meeting on the 23rd.

KANE's weekly Golf Show hosted by PGA Member Teddy Sliman and Ralph "Boxcar" Bergeron each Monday at 5. This weeks show discussed the Haiti Mission Golf Tournament with Father Meaux. The event is August 19th at Vermilion Oaks Country Club. As always they also looked at other local golf events.

KANE's weekly Hunting and fishing show airs every Friday morning at 7 with hosts Ricky Watkins (pictured) and Tony Landry. Another weekend of Red Snapper and as always they took a look at area fishing conditions and weekend weather.

Crime of the Week: On July 29 at about 3 o'clock in the morning, deputies responded to a burglary at 100 Marie St., Food and Fun (Chevron). It was discovered via surveillance video that 3 suspects were involved in the crime. An unknown amount of merchandise was stolen and the suspects fled in an unknown direction.
