The fact that EV battery chemistries continue to evolve should be no shock to our regular listeners - we have cataloged the changes and breakthroughs for a number of years now.  The latest comes from a company called Ionblox and features a lithium-silicon chemistry that is designed to dramatically reduce charging times while increasing range.

You might not realize it, but there are scores of companies right now operating in the medium duty EV commercial truck segment.  From established players like GM's BrightDrop EV subsidiary, to Bollinger Motors, there is plenty of competition.  Rivian Automotive, solidly backed by an investment from Amazon and a large order for 100,000 EV delivery vans, recently announced its intentions to spread its wings in this very competitive space.  They will be teaming up with AT&T for what looks like a win-win for both companies.
