The show's name really fits this week as the crew hunkers down for Hurricane Ian. However the news goes on and they covered the new Windows 22H2 update, a Chromebook from Framework, the Document Foundation charging for free LibreOffice, a couple hacking IHG hotels, and Morgan Stanley data showing up on resold hard drives. Finally, they looked at the craziness around time zones in the US and how they impact technology.

This week's news ran the gamut from hardware to software to security. The team covered the new themes in Windows Terminal, Intel changing its naming structure, the story of the last floppy-disk seller, and Microsoft Teams storing tokens in cleartext. Oops. Finally, in 'Who Got Pwned,' they discussed a major Chinese data breach and the recent Uber hack.

It was another exciting week in tech news, and the Technado team was there to cover it all. For the first time in a long time, security wasn't the main headline of the week. Instead, the crew talked about Starlink coming to a major cruise line, a new underwater datacenter launch, Windows Defender catching some false-positives, Apple overhauling their anti-malware, and Dell laptops literally falling apart. Finally, they tried to decipher how next-gen USB could get double the speed out of the same cables.

Intel plans to release Wi-Fi 7 to client PCs in 2024, Fedora 37 will offer support on Raspberry Pi 4 devices, Microsoft scripts will have stricter browser privacy protection, and post-quantum encryption was hacked by a single-core PC in an hour. And finally, in “Who Got Pwned”, the Twitter vulnerability exposed the data of 5 million account owners and Twillio had a data breach after an SMS phishing attack on employees.

It was a bad week over at Intel, and the Technado team broke down all their current issues.
