The Oddness is the new project of Melbourne producer and performer Warwick Ferguson. The sound of the Oddness is Downtempo yet energetic, with punchy tribal drums and huge bass lines wrapped around the long slow burning structures of progressive house. The Oddness Launched his live set in early 2018 performing at some of Australias premium festivals including Rainbow Serpent, Let Them Eat Cake and Babylon. The set is full of improvisation and can go anywhere from laidback and melancholy through to a chunky, driving gut punch. His first release came in early 2018 on @Uone’s label Beat & Path with a huge remix from Electronic music legend Adam Freeland, Quickly followed his debut album ‘Culmination’ on Griff’s new imprint @CorymbiaRecordings. This weeks Slow Poke Session with @tribuoro

Tribu Oro is the musical brainchild of Philippe Del Bosque who started the Tribu Slow ethnic grooves parties in early 2016 in Malaga Spain. Later joined by Michael Rittner (Miklosh) who brought his Acid and punk influences to the slow ethnic sound . Thus creating their unique eclectic sound. They always take you on a musical journey through different styles influenced by all that surrounds them.

In live situations they are joined by Sofia Lorena on vocals and Malcolm on trumpet and bass.

Techno for Breakfast from @mrsquires bringing you variations of House and Techno made for the Mornings.

Supernova are Emiliano Nencioni and Giacomo Godi; an Italian DJ

and production duo that have over the last decade made the

transition from rising stars to established international talent and

are now recognised as artists and performers of enviable stature.

Both Emiliano and Giacomo are classically trained musicians,

something they believe has set their approach to electronic music

apart from many of their peers, granting them the technical

abilities and theoretical know-how to produce the music they want

without restriction.

Taking their lead from the music of their youth – everything from

Chicago house, acid house, hip-hop, funk and acid jazz – they

achieved their first notable success in 2007 when Sony BMG

released their debut album ‘Downtown Underground, which

included collaborations from the likes of GrandMaster Melle Mel.

Spinning an upward trajectory of balearic Techno, Dane has been slowly carving out a name for himself. Nowananda is life-long dancer and music collector, who has been passionate about electronic music since the early 90s.

He is influenced by growing up in a multi-cultural family, playing classical piano for 7 years, traveling and living in South-East Asia most of his adult life, as well as the study, practice and teaching of Tantra, Yoga, healing and body/energy work.

Nowananda weaves together devotional, organic and electronic music from all over the world into music journeys that invoke the mystic, the lover and the animal within us.

His motto is "Through dance, love deepens for ourselves, others, and life.”

Ukrainian DJ Wox known for his ability to change his musicals styles was somewhat apprehensive when I mentioned about making a mix for the Slow Poke Sessions. A few months later after a trip to Berlin he was truly inspired by the downtempo and slow grooves scene that Berlin had to offer, having now produced a stellar downtempo mix for our listening pleasure. 🖤

Ferenc Ignácz aka Francesco Kaino was born in Hungary. Since than music has been part of his life. He went to school to become a software engineer. That’s when everything changed. He had a lot of interest in electronic music, software based mixing programs and his passion matched perfectly. He wanted to produce his own music. He invested a lot of money and time to make his dream come true. Few years later he started an online deep house radio show called Timeless Travel..The show was on air on deephouse-radio.com for 1.5 years and now he continues on radiomrs.com. I figured out on my first rave (MOS) 2014 when Sheldon was behind the decks that i want to be a DJ. I started my journey through listening and practicing at home. DJ's like Nicolas Jaar, David August and Guy Gerber are my mentors whom i dearly follow.
