Equity crowdfunding is more personal than selling shares in the open market, allowing a stronger level of buy-in with the company. Scott Kitun welcomed Alex Niemczewksi, CEO and co-founder of BallotReady.org, an online voter guide for local, state and national elections.  There are hundreds of elections going on in 2017 and Alex discussed the goal to make local politics more approachable and keeping people engaged in between elections.

Scott welcomed Victor Yuan, Chairman, Dataway Horizon and 2016 Dr. Scholl Foundation Visiting Fellow on US-China Relations, to Technori to discuss the similarities in business and technology between China and the U.S.  They also discussed the generation gap and digital divide that China and the U.S. both face.

Tom Kuczmarski, the President and Founder of the Kuczmarski Innovation and Co-Founder of the Chicago Innovation Awards, joined Scott to share some new developments for 2017.  He also talked about some of the innovations that have made a great impact.
