Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.  The home health technology company Brondell is reporting greatly increased demand for products in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis.  Communications Director Daniel Lalley says air purifiers and water purifiers are being installed in many homes…but the largest increase in sales has been in the company’s bidet line….with some models completely eliminating the need for toilet paper…

“When you get one of these seats with a warm air dryer you can cut your toilet paper use by a hundred percent.  We have a lot of different models for as low as 249, 269.”

While no specific claims are made about Covid-19 when it comes to the True Hepa air purifiers…they are designed to remove 99.9 percent of viruses and more.  The company offers our listeners a 15 percent discount with the code Fred15 at www.brondell.com.

“It’s very highly effective at killing bacteria and virus because it can destroy the molecular bonds that hold their DNA together.  This UV C technology is routinely used in hospitals.  With RAYCOP you can sanitize all your surfaces with UV C technology.”

There are handheld and cordless models at www.raycop.com.

“We recommend a 70 percent alcohol solution.  There’s also an ethanol solution that you can use.  Those are the main ways to clean your phone.  But just like you’re washing your hands and sanitizing your hands every turn, you should be doing the same with your phone during this time.”

There have been studies and stats showing…under normal circumstances…just how dirty and germ filled our phones can be.  So the advice from Catalyst is welcome.  Stay safe.
