 Coolpad Legacy phone brings some big features at a small price

 Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.   Coolpad  is looking to take a bigger share of the U.S. market with family friendly and affordable devices.  The company’s new Legacy smartphone…features a big screen and battery to get you through the day, Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0…and plenty of storage and a MicroSD memory card slot for up to 128 gigabytes more.  And it sells for under 130 dollars at Metro by T-Mobile.  Coolpad Americas head of communications Aaron Baker.. 

“I think what a lot of OEMs are doing now is their throwing everything and the kitchen sink in the device.  They’re saying hey, you need this and you need this amazing camera and this amazing battery and 6 gigabytes of RAM …and oh, by the way, the phone is a thousand dollars.  What we found is that consumers tend to focus on one or two key features.”

So if you’re looking to equip a family…or avoid those monthly payments for a device, the Coolpad Legacy is worth a look.

 Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.  How much does your home Internet connection mean to you?  The folks at Comcast Xfinity commissioned a survey  that found nearly a third of adults said it would be more difficult to live without Internet for two days…than to live without water.  Xfinity has a program called Move in a Minute….designed to help customers get quickly reconnected when they move.  About two thirds of parents in the survey said their kids would be more likely to unpack their devices before their bedding after a move.  Comcast Senior VP Courtney Goldstein says the idea is to take some of the considerable pain out of the moving experience…

“Nearly half…about 47 percent…would rather spend an hour on a flight with a crying baby than actually move.”

Xfinity designed a system…to let you go online…register the move date and address…and select a time and date for installation…to make at least that part of the move easy.

That’s the code name for the next generation video game console from Microsoft.  And at the big E3 video game industry gathering…the company touted 8K graphics capability…combined with processor co-developed with AMD…and says gaming executive vice president Phil Spencer…
