Lutalo, a smart, sensitive and ambitious teenager, spiraled into darkness after he graduated in 2014 from Henrico County’s Highland Springs High School and entered Virginia Commonwealth University. He was arrested after nearly burning his home to the ground. Mental health workers at Henrico County Jail diagnosed him with the beginning stages of schizophrenia.
