Did you know that the hobbies that you choose can have an incredible impact on your mental health? Today's episode is a continuation of my mini-series on creating an amazing plan for your life. Today, we're talking about hobbies and activities.
When you're intentional about your actions and the things that you do in day-to-day life, and about the things you want to do in your future, you can create a life for yourself that most people only dream about.
Do the hobbies that you have fill your 'mental health cup'? Or do they drain it? What is that hobby or activity for you that really refreshes and recharges you when you sit down and do it?
"Great minds have purposes; others have wishes." ~ Washington Irving

Today's episode is part 6 of my Life Plan mini-series, and this episode is all about character development.
Character figures massively into the big picture of your life. Everyone has both positive and negative character traits. When you possess and display those strong character traits that you admire, that is so necessary for living a life that you can be proud of! Do you have those traits that you think are important?
Now is the time to take stock of your own character traits. Consider what's important to you regarding your character, and then write down your goals and the steps you need to take to achieve them in your life plan.
Daniel Burnam said this, "Make no little plans; they have no magic to stir man's blood. Make BIG plans. Aim high in hope and work."

Today, we are once again jumping into the Life Plan mini-series with part 5: Health (physical, emotional, and mental).
Your physical condition is one of the most important aspects of a plan for a good life. Your ability to manage your feelings and keep negative emotions in check is so important to living a peaceful and satisfied life.
Is your physical health optimized for living your best life?
"Let our advance worrying become advance thinking and planning." ~Winston Churchill
Today we're jumping right back into the life series with part 4: Relationships (love, family, and friends).
Partner relationships and having a family are at the top of most people's list when it comes to having what you want in life. A deep, enduring love life can improve your health, and even increase your lifespan. You want someone who will not only build you up, but come alongside you in your dreams and help you achieve and accomplish your goals, while also accepting your help, love, and friendship in achieving their life goals as well. Your close connections with others make up some of the most fulfilling parts of your life, so address what you want in relation to your love life and family life in your life plan.
A supportive network of friends helps you to be more satisfied and content with the life you have. In order to live your best life, you want to have awesome friends that you can engage with on a regular basis.
"If you love the life you live, you'll live a life of love."
Have you ever asked yourself what kind of career you actually want? What do you want to do in life? What do you want to do FOR your life? How does your career enable the life that you want to live?
Continuing the conversation about designing a plan for your life, today we are talking about career and work. Since your career will encompass about a quarter to a third of your life, if you work full-time, hopefully you will love what you're doing, and will have a great passion for it!
Work is your bread and butter; it's what supports you and your family. It's how you are able to live life. Your career is the very basis of your financial life, and it brings stability and the necessary routine that we all need in our lives.

Today we're continuing the conversation about designing a plan for your life. If you don't have a plan for your own life, it's likely you'll fall into somebody else's plan, and that somebody else does not have what you want planned for you.
Grab a notebook and start recording ideas and thoughts that will form a new and revised plan for your life. Spend some time thinking about the various aspects of your life: your home, the career you want to get into, relationships with family and friends, your love life, etc...
Life isn't perfect all the time, but it's a reasonable goal to feel satisfaction, joy, and a sense of comfort and well-being in your own life.
In this first episode in my new mini-series about the different aspects of what you can plan for your life, I want to talk about designing a plan for your life. I know this does not sound like fun, but if you're not intentional about the way you design your life you'll just end up living somebody else's plan.
Jim Rohn said it this way. "If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much."
Mark Houlahan - "If you truly want your life to be a magnificent story, then begin by realizing that you are the author and every day you have the opportunity to write a new page."
