Next month, Dave and his tandem pilot Jim Trout will become the first tandem solo team to complete Race Across America (RAAM) with a blind rider on the tandem. RAAM is a 3,000-mile bike race from coast to coast across the US. The race has 31 miles of vertical climbing and must be completed in under 12 days.

Dave has completed over 30 marathons, 3 Ironman triathlons, and tons of other races of varying lengths and levels of difficulty. A good friend once described Dave as a good idea taken a step too far, which is now his life mantra.
