James Black Presents reworks the early 90s Italian house classic 'The Vamp' - bringing bigger beats and a rolling bassline. 3.2.1.0. Purely done as a passion project as the original is iconic to me and used to feature a lot during in my sets during my Dark Matter residency.

Warm up sets are a journey. Its not about dropping the biggest hits, the 'peaktime' power - its about warming the crowd up, setting the mood, perhaps playing a few cheeky obscure (but relevant) remixes of well known tracks - but you're always building the energy for the headliner. When you're playing warm up; know the role, talk to the promoter, ask what energy they want and let them trust you to build it up. That's what I've done in this set, 2 hours warming up for the legendary Dave Pearce in Brighton, March 2026.
