In this episode of the podcast, Doug Green is joined by Matt Hayes, Manager at ISN, the global leader in contractor and supplier information management, to discuss the cybersecurity landscape of the telecom industry.
Over 74 million U.S. telecommunications clients’ data has been leaked onto the dark web in 2023 alone. With only a few major providers, each collecting a wealth of sensitive data about their customers, the telecom industry has remained a prominent target for hackers. Unfortunately, the extensive use of contractors and subcontractors in the telecom industry has opened the space up to further risks. Knowing they are already at higher risk of a cyberattack, telecom companies using high numbers of contractors need to ensure security procedures are thoroughly spelled out and effectively communicated.
