  • Robbie recaps a historic regional, the road to Athens, and a personal update

Robbie Faulk checks in from the hospital after a difficult few days battling diverticulitis, but he's not missing a moment of this postseason run. Mississippi State just completed one of the most dominant regional performances in program history — 39 runs over three games, the most ever scored in a three-game regional. Robbie breaks it all down game by game, from Duke Stone's masterpiece in the opener to Tomas Valincius delivering when it mattered in game two to a championship game that featured 20 hits and seven home runs.

  • Breaking down Mississippi State's NCAA Regional field in Starkville

The field is set and Mississippi State is hosting. Robbie Faulk breaks down every team in the Starkville Regional — Lipscomb, Cincinnati, and Louisiana — including what each team brings to the table, what Mississippi State needs to do to advance, and what pitching strategy makes the most sense heading into Friday's opener against Lipscomb at 1:00 p.m. Faulk also takes a look around the broader tournament landscape, including the SEC's dominant showing with 12 bids, seven regional hosts, and five national seeds, and what the bracket could mean for Mississippi State's path to Omaha. Plus — don't miss the live pre-regional podcast and tailgate show Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at The Landing in Starkville. Members of State1878.com can watch the full video version. • Mississippi State softball punches ticket to World Series, while baseball secures NCAA host spot

Mississippi State softball is going to the Women's College World Series for the first time in program history. The Bulldogs took down No. 3 Oklahoma in Norman, and Delainey Everett delivered one of the most emotionally compelling performances this program has ever seen. This group is headed to Oklahoma City and they have earned every bit of it. On the baseball side, Mississippi State will host an NCAA Regional at Dudy Noble Field. There is no better place to play college baseball in the country, and the Diamond Dawgs will have home field advantage to start their postseason run. Health of the pitching staff will be the key factor in how far this team can go. It is a great week to be a Bulldog.
