Have you ever wanted to be in a band?  Musicians Elana Haynes and Delilah Rose did since they were little.  And that’s what they’re doing now.   They are currently playing together for De’s new album Moxie.  But Elana also has another band, Legs Electric.  Musicians stay busy!!

In this conversation, they talk about finding your people, developing your skills and finding time for creativity with a young family.   It was a great insight into their world, and we laughed, a lot!

Sewing since childhood, Artist Louise Wells was encouraged from an early age to make and create. 

Working primarily with recycled textiles, her art practice explores beauty in the ordinary, creating exquisite work.

Award winning silversmith and jeweller Philip Noakes has had an extraordinary career.  He is a passionate craftsman who came to Australia and found an abundance of new opportunities.  He tells us all about it as well as what it’s really like to put together an exhibition and why he is keen to pass on his skills and knowledge in the tradition of those craftsmen before him.

Visual Artist Mel Dare has been fascinated with images since forever.  In this conversation she shares with us the thinking behind her work and how the process of exploring ideas unfolds.  It involves bushwalking and sometimes napping.

She also shares some of her experiences at Artist residencies, what it’s like to work in prisons and the satisfaction of people engaging with her art.
