In this eight-minute podcast, Lisa Bridwell, a Quality Improvement Facilitator at Telligen, sits down with Adam Jordan, DPh, Administrator and owner of Beadles Nursing Home to discuss their higher-than-average staff vaccination rates. During the course of their conversation, a brief overview of the staff culture is given, and the unique challenges related to increasing the COVID-19 vaccination rate among their staff are identified and discussed. Lastly, Adam describes how they found success in increasing staff vaccination in their nursing home, offering actionable examples and advice for other nursing homes looking to increase their own staff vaccination rates.

In this third episode of the COVID-19 Vaccine Experiences podcast series, we hear from Sheri Weaver-Isvik, an administrator at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake, Iowa. Sheri starts with describing her motivation and inspiration for pursuing a career in healthcare. Next, she discusses the first COVID-19 vaccine clinic hosted by Oakwood Care Center for residents and staff. At the time of this recording, Oakwood Care Center had about 70% of the staff vaccinated with one COVID-19 vaccine dose and 84% of residents vaccinated with both doses.
