Hey there, tribe! We hope you are all healthy and safe amidst this COVID-19 outbreak. Crazy times we're living in, huh? We always thought it would be a different Corona that would make us sick! (too soon?)

This week we talk about how to achieve "serenity in place" while "sheltering in place". How to stay sober and sane during uncertain times and isolation. What are we doing to form connection with other alcoholics, ourselves and our spirituality? 

This pandemic sure does make you start to think about what is really important in life and what we've taken for granted. 

This week we discuss the fear that we are all dealing with this scare in our world of Covid-19. We are doing all we can to lean into our Higher Power.

This weeks episode is about Courage and Diligence, principle 4.

First Thought Wrong - Lynn has a case of biting off more than she can chew. 

We discuss how having courage through the fear is how we grow.  

Today we talk about how we use hope and belief in our recovery AND in everyday life! Hope and belief can carry us through all of life’s ups and downs--but how do we cultivate hope and belief? How do we practice it? 

“Life is what you make it!” But what does that mean really and how does it pertain to hope and belief?

“Belief that you might be able to hope” - Lynn’s experience in early recovery was that belief came before hope--but that was a start!

Vikki has first thought wrong about feelings...

Belief - Trust, faith and confidence in someone/something.

Hope- Feeling of optimism or a desire that something will happen. 

FTW:  Lynn and her alternate go to two separate GSR meetings.   

Definition:  Humility: Freedom from pride or arrogance

Humility is about remaining teachable.  

We discussed how we can lean into pride too much, humility in sobriety and day to day life and work.  

The struggle of the ego which is pride of an accomplishment vs. doing good work.  

Self-deprecating is the opposite of arrogance but the same in thinking of yourself all the time! 

Humility = Gratitude

Being grateful takes away from coveting.
