As we move towards Samhain, we're stepping into the darker side of Irish folklore and exploring three of its most recognisable supernatural figures: the Púca, the Banshee and the Dullahan.

We'll look at the stories, traditions and folklore surrounding each of them, and the very different ways they interact with the world of the living.

And once we've finished our journey through these Irish ghost stories, we'll end with a little message from the Celtic Goddesses, Witches & Queens Oracle, to give us something to reflect on as we move towards Samhain.

In this one in exploring Female Rage

What happens when women are told to be quiet, agreeable and accommodating , and what happens when that anger finally has somewhere to go?

In this Temple Library entry, we're exploring female rage through history, mythology, film, witchcraft and our own experiences of anger, frustration and resistance.

From the ways women's anger has been dismissed, feared or labelled as “too much”, to the powerful portrayals of female rage in films, we'll look at the different ways this energy can show up ,and what happens when we stop seeing anger as something that has to be hidden.

We'll explore Lilith, female rage as a form of resistance, the relationship between anger and boundaries, and how we can consciously direct that fire into protection, banishing, transformation and reclaiming our power.

And while I'm giving female rage its own space in this conversation, rage, anger, oppression and the experience of being told you're “too much” aren't exclusive to one gender or identity. This is an invitation to explore the subject, not a statement that anyone is excluded from it.

Sometimes anger is destructive.

Sometimes it is a warning.

Sometimes it is the part of us that finally says:

Enough.

Mabon~ Harvest Release & What We Carry Forward

As the Wheel of the Year turns towards autumn, we arrive at Mabon, the Autumn Equinox a time of balance, harvest and reflection. It's the second Harvest Sabbath on the Celtic Wheel of the year.

In this Temple Library reading, we're gathering together to reflect on where we are on our own paths and the things coming to fruition in our lives.

The Hell Fire Club

One of Ireland's most infamous and mysterious landmarks..

Perched high on Montpelier Hill overlooking Dublin, the Hell Fire Club has been surrounded by stories of hauntings, folklore and dark gatherings for centuries.

In this Temple Library entry, we explore the history behind the building, the legend of the ancient Neolithic stones used in its construction, and some of the eerie tales that have kept people fascinated for generations.

The footage in this video was filmed during one of my camping trips in the forest behind the Hell Fire Club, making this a very personal journey into one of Ireland's most intriguing places
