This episode explores the health of our hearts, not physically but spiritually. One thing that is highlighted is that our spiritual condition is more important than our physical condition. This is important to understand because when our focus is set on the health of our bodies we can easily become blinded to the spiritual condition of our hearts. We know how to assess the condition of our bodies, but how do we evaluate the health of our hearts spiritually? This topic leads us to better understand our desires and why they matter.

When Jenny opened her personal training business, she named it 610Fit, which is derived from Ephesians 6:10. At the time, it was just a name, but little did she know the Lord had much bigger plans for the term. 610Fit became a term that defines what it means to become strong in the Lord. Our strength must be founded, rooted and built up in the Lord as it is essential to carrying out our mission as God’s people. The work to be 610Fit is much different than the work to be fit, and the distinction is necessary because in a world consumed with fitness, we have become captive to our strength. But we have victory, and the work of the Lord is to deliver us from the strength we have built up so we may live by faith and run the race set before us. In this episode, Amanda and Jenny discuss what the Lord has taught them about how to become strong in the Lord.

We can learn a lot about who God is and who we are in Christ from those who have gone before us. The concept that history repeats itself is significant. The journey of God’s people in the Old Testament is reflective of our journey with Him now. In this episode, we take a look at the band Needtobreathe and their song Hard Love. Needtobreathe holds a special place in Jenny’s heart. The Lord has used their music to teach and encourage her on her journey. The Lord also used a moment at a concert to show her what it means to live by grace. We discuss these stories and explore the band’s authenticity, which leads them to yield to the guidance of the Lord. Through their music, they have touched many lives, and we believe that the Lord is going to further multiply their reach into the hearts of His children. If we forget where we come from, we will forget where we are going. This is an important truth to grasp as we begin to form a united front and train for godliness. Last episode explored what it looks like to fall back into captivity. This episode continues that exploration by taking a look at what our lives looked like before Christ. Upon the Lord’s prompting, we begin to look at the idea that despite being free, we are training ourselves to fall back into the captivity we once lived in when we were apart from Christ.
