Iga Swiatek is the favourite for Roland Garros, there's no question about it. It looks like even in her worst, she is just too good for the entire field. Ons Jabeur went on a great winning streak of her own, winning the title in Madrid and reaching the final in Rome the week after, but ran out of steam against the World No.1, raising the actual main question surrounding Swiatek: who will beat her and when? It would be a devastating loss if she doesn't win the French Open in Roland Garros, but she won't win forever (although the likelihood of her next loss being greater in the grass season.)
And what to say of Novak Djokovic? Absent for most tournaments of the year, came back rusty and losing matches, getting bageled in his hometown, losing to the player who is the most taunted to become the greatest of his generation, Carlos Alcaraz, in a titanic match, only to come back to Rome and win his 38th Masters 1000 title, picking up his 1000th win on the way. Who will stop Djokovic? Is Nadal healthy enough? Is Alcaraz ready to win a Grand Slam? Is Tsitsipas going to find a way to exorcise his demons?
