The southern Indian state of Kerala has come in for worldwide praise for its proactive approach to prevent the spread of the coronavirus which has caused a global pandemic.

Kerala at present seems to have limited the rate of casualties due to Covid-19 at 0.54 %, which is well below the global average, besides flattening the growth curve of confirmed cases.

Since the first confirmed Covid-19 case in the state was reported over 100 days ago, loss of life due to the infection has been two against a total of 364 persons tested positive.
