Terra Uranium (ASX: T92) executive chairman Andrew Vigar joins Small Caps to discuss the commencement of a maiden diamond drilling campaign at the company’s Parker Lake uranium project in Canada’s Athabasca Basin.

Backed by a recent successful $2.8 million capital raising and rising uranium prices, Terra is testing a range of targets on both the Parker and Pasfield Lake projects this campaign.

The Parker Lake area is located on the Cable Bay Shear Zone and has been identified to contain 30km of “classic” Athabasca style basement conductors.

The company’s three projects (Parker Lake, Pasfield Lake and Hawk Rock) cover 1,008 square kilometres located in the Athabasca Basin.

Covering approximately 100,000 sq km in Saskatchewan and a small portion of Alberta, the Athabasca Basin is considered as the world's leading source of high-grade uranium and currently supplies about 20% of the world's uranium.
