Famed thoroughbred horse trainer Dale Romans tells his story to Terry Meiners on WHAS Radio. Dale grew up in Shively, fell in love with horses as a baby, and carved out an incredible Eclipse Award career with over 2,000 victories, including the 2011 Preakness Stakes.
Now Dale Romans wants to use his years of public service (president of Kentucky HBPA and on the Kentucky Racing Commission board) to bring what he calls "common sense" solutions on fiscal policies, immigration, and rehab strategies for those with addictions.
Mr. Romans was candid about his own struggles with addiction and shares how he meets the daily challenge to further his sobriety.
Dale Romans is running for the U.S. Senate seat to be vacated by Senator Mitch McConnell. As a Democrat, Dale is running in the primary race against Amy McGrath and Charles Booker.
