Greg Bourke gave his take on the SCOTUS ruling in the Colorado bakery case. He said it is a “very narrow ruling” against the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, not necessarily a ruling against the couple who was denied a wedding cake. He also discussed the quest for national laws to protect the entire LGTBQ community against discrimination.

Greg also talked about the struggle that can exist in being homosexual and a practicing Roman Catholic.

Rick Pitino called-in to talk about C.M. Newton. He told the story about how C.M. recruited him to UK and talked about the kind of man C.M. was. Coach Pitino also discussed a new book he is finishing about his career and how feels now about the Louisville situation.

Old Joe called out of the blue and wanted to know why I still work here and to make fun of Terry Rozier, U of L, and Chris Mack. He did seem a little sad about UK missing the baseball tournament though.

Metro Councilwoman Angela Leet talked about winning yesterday’s Republican primary for Mayor. She also talked about her goals for the office: reducing crime, recruiting new talent to Louisville, and developing new business. Councilwoman Leet also discussed how she will convert voters to her side and her plans for improving Metro government.
