As Americans we feel we are entitled to many things: a house, a car, medical care, and retirement to name a few. These are considered to be the basic rights of all U.S. inhabitants because of the history and prosperity of our country.

What is spiritual entitlement?

Paul is saying: Although I am entitled to honor, respect, appreciation, and compensation, and perhaps even prosperity–because of being an ambassador of Christ, love compels me to demand nothing. For demanding my rights confuses some as to my intentions and motives.

Religions affects culture and culture affects religion. However, religion and culture do not

affect truth. Truth is truth. Truth is indisputable and stands on its own merit.

There is knowledge that comes from the world which feeds the ego. Then there is knowledge from God which builds others up in love. Godly wisdom as opposed to the wisdom of man is a very common theme throughout the scriptures.

No mater what your lot in life is, always swing for the fence. Live as you are called- whether married or single.

The urgency of the now can outshine the blessings of obedience.

Paul is writing to the believers at Corinth in response to their letter with things that should had been covered in Church Life 101.

May we heed the words Paul wrote to the Corinthians, It's time to grow up, and mature, and take our calling from God seriously. It is time that we act our age and not our shoe size and we fully understand that "just because we can doesn't mean we should" live outside of the dignity God has given us through the sacrifice of His Son and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Who do you say Jesus is? Your response to this question determines not only your values but your eternal destiny.

All four Gospels have recorded the events of what we know as Palm Sunday (Matthew 21, Mark 11, Luke 19, and John 12). The Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem is the beginning of the end of Christ's earthly ministry. Christ began his journey on the road to victory.

Paul directs his attention to the church proper concerning a very serious sin problem. We can find three areas that Paul addresses from which we can learn some important lessons.

1. Sin within the church must be acknowledged; 2. it must be confronted; and it must be dealt with.

Paul was awarded by God two essential ministries: servanthood and stewardship.

Servants/stewards are appointed. They must be faithful in their duties and not be overly concerned with the opinions of others.

A foundation is the most important part of a building. If the foundation is weak, the entire building may collapse. What is the foundation that you are building your life upon? Is it the Gospel and Person of Jesus Christ? He is the only true foundation.
