A word of life applying the Rev. Martin Luther King's words, "If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward," to the Great Fast.
This is a word of life regarding the fifth Sunday, and week, of the Great Fast, according to the Ge'ez Rite within the Alexandrian Rite. There are two main types of slaves. The one is wicked and slothful. The other is good and faithful. Read(aloud) Matthew 25:14-30 to follow along. You are invited to read all of Matthew 25, and indeed all of the Good News according to Matthew.
Susanna is unavailable in the Masoretic Text (MT), which is the Hebrew collected centuries after the destruction of the 2nd Temple in 70 AD. It is available in the Old Greek (OG), collected by diasporic Hebrews centuries before Christ. The OG is the Older Testament used by the authors of the Newer Testament. Nevertheless, the OG tells you to read the Hebrew that preceded it and preceded the MT, most of which the MT preserves.
Susanna's story is a story of hope for those who face injustice in the here-and-now. This was shared, digitally and telephonically, with the youth of Mount Calvary Savior of the World EOTC in Nashville, Tennessee.
An Amharic word of life, prepared for on the fly, accompanying Amharic Evensong/Vespers.

In collaboration with UOTY, this is a word of life regarding Metsagwu (The Paralytic) during the Great Fast.
"Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts" (Mark 2:6 RSV)
A terse word regarding certain Ge'ez Rite melodies, and salvation. This was recorded whilst I was in the legendary wilderness of North Dakota.
I said to him, “My lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His sanctuary; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them. (Revelation 7:14-15 NASB)
The Orthodox Synod of Ethiopians in Exile has sent these verses to feed its flocks of believers dispersed outside of their ancestral lands. As a sheep of one of said flocks, it is my duty to present their thoughts before I present mine.
His eminence, Head of the Archbishops Merqoreywos, says "all Ethiopians must put their differences aside, and cooperate through love and oneness (unity) for the peace, oneness and development of Ethiopia, and to justly lift this tribulation that has reached the Ethiopian peoples."
