In 2016 Tex McIver would claim that he had been holding his gun in the back seat of his Ford Expedition, due to his nerves of being in a bad part of Atlanta Georgia when he drifted off to sleep. After being jolted awake his gun would discharge, firing into the back of the passenger front seat, where his wife Diane was sitting.

Diane would later succumb to her injuries, and then the question would arise, did Tex intentionally shoot Diane, or was it all just a horrible (albeit, wildly irresponsible) accident?
