We discuss hats and costumes that are problematic because of historical harm done in the Victorian period. Hopefully we can find how to navigate the ugly truths of the actual Victorian era and avoid cultural offence. A bit extra awkward chuckling, but hopefully useful discussion.

After 14 minutes of drunk talk, we continue our exploration of Steampunk hats. We cram studied how to make and form felt hats and tried to exchange notes. We clearly would not be able to make a hat, but maybe our flailing efforts will be funny.

Our first in a short series digging into hats as relate to your Steampunk attire. We start with the many many kinds of Victorian headwear, verses modern hats that we just think are old. We touch on men's hat etiquette and how your headwear really establishes who your character is.

We welcome very special guest, Scott Helland, from Frenchy and the Punk! Of late he has been fighting for his own name in his solo project, Guitarmy of One. Someone has been using the same name and Spotify is refusing to accept Scott's trademark claim. Besides lawyering up, we talk about how you can help.

We report on the ice storm that just past. Not so bad, but utilities fail anyway. We get serious into the politics and actors saying stupid things, and move into problematic fantasy writing and racist tropes. This moves into traditional fairy tales and their social messages, of which Bluestocking is an expert. We get to drinks, and Gilded Age throws us right back to politics of the day. We'll try to get back to fun stuff next show.
