In this lit episode, I am joined by Zac Smith and Giacomo Pope where we talk about nothing and everything. Music genres, literary genres, and even how a genre's name comes into being is discussed in this 2hr long round table.
Zac Smith flexes his knowledge of linguistics and genre. Giacomo Pope goes off on small presses along with an insane grasp on what shoegaze-y indie rock actually is and was. Together we discuss how writers act due to social media and how the artform has given way to clout-chasing.
Fun things to look forward to in this episode are pet names, Spotify royalties, and how I rejected one of Giac's submissions to Maudlin house 20 minutes before interviewing him on his last appearance of Textual Healing.
To get a better vibe of their music tastes check out their Giac's Spotify playlist: We Can All be Sad Bois and his artist page that includes some of Zac's music: Be Softly.****
Zac Smith's most recent book is available at Clash Books and Giacomo Pope's latest book is available at Ghost City Press.

In today's episode, we have an hour-long conversation full of zany non-sequiturs with Chase Griffin. My co-host, Andy Tran, joins me while we talk with our favorite Florida Man about things like Kanye, SNL, polar vortexes, and Chase's latest novel: _What's On the Menu?_
Chase Griffin lives in Tampa, Florida. His work has been featured in The Oyez Review, Breadcrumbs Mag, Funny Looking Dog Quarterly, Maudlin House, and more. His debut novel, What's on the Menu?, was published by Long Day Press. He has a podcast called The Rocco Atleby Foundation presented by Zero Point Fiction.
Spoiler Alert: Andy might have randomly thrown down a rap during this episode...
In today's episode, Mallory and Andy hit up D.T. Robbins. They talk about folk music, punk rock, Phoebe Bridgers, Bright Eyes, Elton John, and David Lynch. All of which influence his mood and writing. Accents, shoes, IKEA, and so much more are also brought up in this extremely odd podcast.
D.T. Robbins lives in Southern California with his wife and two kids. He’s the founding editor of Rejection Letters. You can find some of his work in Hobart, Maudlin House, and X–R-A-Y Lit.

Giacomo Pope is the author of Chainsaw Poems & Other Poems and the founder of Neutral Spaces.
Much like his writing, this episode is all about passion and obsession. We go further and deeper than we've gone before in this Special Extended Episode of Textual Healing where we discuss not just music and how it relates to an author's specific writing, but ALL writing. Weird cultural habits, philosophy, and travel are also discussed. Things get weird. Things get random. But it always comes down to music and lit.
