Tonight I'm joined by Quinn Greene from the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra who will be performing as Buddy the Elf at the WJO's The Nutcracker, Ellington & Elf! at the West End Cultural Centre on Thursday, December 19th.
Then I talk to Greg Macpherson about his show December 20th at Public Domain where he'll mark the 25th anniversary of Balanced on a Pin and the 20th anniversary of Night Flares.

CJ from The Bloodshots joins me to discuss what's been going on with the band and debut their new single, "Empty."

Then Neil Watson with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra discusses putting together Winnipeg Sings Along with Al Simmons and Sol James (tomorrow at WAG-Quamajuq).

Victoria BC band Astrocolor released one of my favourite albums of 2023 with Moonlighting, the first volume of their AstroJazz series. They are back with Stargazing and I spoke to Neil James Cooke-Dallin from the group about their origins and the making of the new record.

On the show tonight are Jonah Yano (who plays Sidestage on November 19th), Louie Sanchez (the new project from Eirene Cloma) who will be playing three shows November 22nd - 24th at The Fork for the Art Holm series, and with singer-songwriter Mia Kelly who will be in town November 20th opening for The Good Lovelies at the West End Cultural Centre.

On the show tonight I talk to Kelly Bado about her two shows with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra this Sunday (November 10th) at the CCFM, with pianist Lisa Rumpel to discuss her participation in Sing Me A Song You've (Never) Heard Before happening next Saturday November 16th at the WECC, and with Edmonton's Billie Zizi who plays The Handsome Daughter that same Saturday, November 16th.

Winnipeg's guitar guru, Paige Drobot, joins me on the show to talk about her new 7inch, Alien Girl and the upcoming show to celebrate its release.

Tonight's show features an interview with Montreal's Janette King, who will be bringing her new album Incantation to the Fort Garry Hotel on November 3rd at a special Jazz Winnipeg show.

Earlier this week I was joined by Calgary artist Ado Nkemka who performs under the name A.N. - Ado played a handful of songs off her new album I'm Not Afraid To Die Anymore and sat down for an interview about her music which we capped off with the radio debut in Winnipeg of the title track.

Tonight I talk with the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra's Neil Watson about next weeks' performance with Tomson Highway happening here on campus, and then I'm joined by Newfoundland singer-songwriter Nico Paulo, who will stop at Barn Hammer Brewing on Sunday, October 27th as part of her fall tour.
